I’m going to be running an order of the scribes wizard for a one shot. He’s level 15 and likes to annoy other wizards by changing spells, especially using spells with wizards name in them. There’s another wizard in the party who wants to have “beef” with this guy for insulting great wizards by changing their spells
I have maximillians molten grasp, scorching ray but slashing damage, fireball acid damage, Oktiluke’s bomb (force damage freezing sphere, and azzaganazar’s earth churner (bludgeoning)
My favorite, since the release of the subclass, has been “Iron Ball”.
You take your good ‘ol “Fireball”; and substitute the damage with bludgeoning damage…let’s say, from “Erupting Earth”.
So, “Fireball” is described as a mote/spark that whizzes towards your target; and then explodes into fire.
For “Iron Ball”; you take a small sphere of metal…could even be a marble, or ball bearing…and just chuck it in the direction of your enemies.
And then…the ball of metal just GROWS to enormous size briefly; hitting every so hard they don’t even know what happened. All they know is pain, bruises & broken bones.
Being able to warp “Fireball” as a Scribe Wizard is a saving grace of that subclass.
If the DMs could allow this idea .......................
Cast Clone on your own Magic Spellbook just to make that cloned book be an hyperactive Mimic with enough hunger to ""eat"" whatever finds on its path. Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!! enjoy being as evil as a Warlock and also enough smart to not stay on the Mimic's path... hehehe

any other fun ideas?
.
Melf”s Mind Missile? Psychic. Damage.
Reflavor everything to bludgeoning damage. Fists. All fists.
Tasha's Fist Brew.
Melf's Fist Arrow.
Evard's Black Fists.
Rime's Binding Fists.
Best part? Almost nothing has resistance to magic bludgeoning damage.
I got quotes!
I never thought of those 😂

Bigby's Fisting a Volcano: Bigby's Hand but Fire Damage instead of Force through Immolation
Melf's Static Socks: Instead of minute meteors, they're just sock from the laundry that are full of static charge.
Evards Hotdogs: Instead of the black tentacles doing Bludgeoning damage, they do Fire Damage from Fire Shield.
