I’m building a warforge evocation wizard. In his backstory he was built to be the personal assistant to a gnome archmage who went missing, and the bot gained sentience in isolation. For the life of me I’m struggling to pick a name for them.

i have a few ideas, tell me what you think is best!

1 COFFI- Constructed Operational Flunky For Inconveniences

2 AETHER- Artificial Existence for Testing Housework Experiments and Research 

3 TEA- Technical Executive Assistant 

4 Archive- named for his main purpose 

5 Stagnation- name he picked to piss off his creator 

6 Butler- named for a job title

I love using roman numerals to spell names. I had a warforged character who's serial number was 1042 and he went by MXLII or "Mixlee".

Other times they can pick their own name after purpose or aspirations, so I had a warforged wizard who named themselves "Journey"

I remember reading that warforged are often named after things they collect, so what about, playing off of Archive, Spellbook or Tome? Plus, you could use that as an excuse to use the most hilarious wizard playstyle - learning every spell in existence and keeping them all around thanks to 1) collecting spell books like mad, 2) copying and selling existing ones for money, and 3) using downtime to put a nuclear bomb’s yield in glyphs of warding on the books you’ll keep.

 nuclear bomb glyphs of warding go off if moved more than 10 feet. 

On a somewhat similar vibe, I popped this crit role inspired idea into the three sentence backstory thread a while back:

My name is Doctor Occulus Threnody Yagnoloth but you can call me DOTY for short, I was abandoned in the Nine Hells by my creator after I was severely damaged and repurposed into a prison for a Yagnoloth. I now find myself on the Material Plane where I seek to understand my place in all things and the Yagnoloth imprisoned within me has deemed it fit to teach me many things. I feel no ill will towards my creator but maybe I will seek them out if I find myself in the same area as them.

 I do love the idea of them giving themselves the name Doctor. I doubt the demons game him a degree lol
