I'm a level 3 barbarian. I want to have a wizard multi class but don't fully understand the multi classing. How many spell slots do i get as a level 3 barbarian/level 1 wizard. do i get the multi classing spell slot chart or the wizard spell slot chart. how many spells do i know and or have prepared. and do i know can trips. when i get to 2nd level do i get and arcane tradition.
If you are able to cast spells, you can’t cast them or concentrate on them while raging.
In addition to becoming heavily multi-ability dependent (MAD), this is why Barbarians generally do not multi-class with a spellcasting class. If your goal is to simply pick up some versatile non-combat utility spells, I highly recommend simply taking the Ritual Caster (Wizard) or Ritual Caster (Cleric) feat.

You should really read the Multiclassing rules.

You should also reread the Barbarian rules on Rage.
