Anyone got any tips on making a bladesinger? Making one as a backup character at lvl 10 and really find them intriguing. But they arent much discussed here.
Going for a Eladrin (Variant) to get the extra [Spell]Misty Step[/Step] and ofc Mobility feat.
Before anyone comments it, our group have always rolled for stats the 20++ years we have played. We all find it both fun and exciting rolling out a new char.
The stats I rolled are as followed after I placed them (before race bonuses) Str 7, Dex 15, Con 15, Int 17, Wis 14, Cha 10.
Should I go for ASI to get 20 in int with the racial bonus or should I get spell sniper and use Booming Blade and whip?
And what to choose from spells, feats and etc (magic items excluded) to get as high Speed/Movement and AC as possible?
Link to my whip wielding NPC (sometimes PC) lvl 12 multiclass ranger (gloomstalker) / warlock (celestial/chain) / wizard (bladesinger) if you want to take a peek:
Just an FYI, a mistake I made (and had to put in a retrospective homebrew rule in for) is that booming/greenflame blade only have a range of 5ft not the reach of the weapon, so worth bearing in mind for the whip side of things.
I'd try to get both Dex and Int to 20. I really like shadowblade and off hand short sword, even without multiclassing or 2 weapon feat. I asked recently for alternatives and got some good advice:

Looks nice, but I really dont think I want to multiclass that much. But I feel that you need to be lvl 12 to have that class setup effective, and we arent quite there yet.
For less melee but more speed and AC then you could go haste or greater invisiblity as your concentration spell. If you aren't melee focused don't bother with spell sniper and whip for GFB. Get a concentration related feat instead.
I'd go greater invisiblity for giving enemies disadvantage against you (often you just won't be targeted) and immunity to opportunity attacks.
But haste plus mirror image is a ton of speed, extra AC, an extra action and damage mitigation when you do get hit.
In all cases shield and absorb elements as reactions.
Thats my character so far. With shieldspell and Bladesong its 28 in AC, should be enough for a while.
But if I should multiclass, I am wondering if I should do two levels of rogue to get the expertise in acrobatics and the Cunning Action to get the BA Dash. Is it worth in the long run to loose out on the lvl 19 and 20 wizard bonuses? (If we ever get that high). And I will also loose the ability to cast lvl 5 spells
Haste doubles your speed without using your bonus action. Delaying your spell progression 2 levels for the rest of the game in return for a bonus to acrobatics rolls seems lackluster.

True, but also gain expertise in several skills and backstab and most important, Cunning Action. And haste is a Concentration spell, can be twarted by taking too much damage.

Spellsniper works on Green Flame blade

If using 2 weapons, war caster is useful, or just be prepared to drop your weapon and pick it up a lot.
Thanks, but its not melee heavy Im going for. I want to focus on AC and movement. Already played several melee heavy characters, even a hexblade.

ohh....didn't know that...happy days!
