Since Adventures league has specific rules about how many sources you can use, I would like a switch on the beginning page of the character builder which let's you set the character as adventures league legal, and designate which additional source to show (this would be like the switches that let you turn homebrew or Critical Role content on our off).
I think this would be especially useful, because while races show what source they are from, and let you only see a specific source, many of the other options like subclass, spells, feats, and backgrounds don't tell you what source they are from in the builder.
Any update on this? I've been getting into D&D and doing some AL stuff aside from our occasional sessions might help the learning process.
Once the new character sheet is out, development resources will probably be moving to granular content sharing (turning on/off options), which may help with this.
as far as I know, specifics about the changes to AL aren't out yet, although some mention of the changes was made on the &Beyond stream from Origins last week (or the week before??). One of those has to do with moving away from experience points and to "checkpoints" (I think that's the name) as outlined in Xanathar's. Until specifics of the new AL rules are out, DDB is not likely to spend developer resources on AL compliant features, since the compliance rules could change.
And the updates are out! Wonder when this will become integrated... would be ideal for us to be able to enter our dci number on our account somewhere too

You actually already can, under "Account" -> "My Profile" -> "Profile" -> bottom of the page

I meant in a fashion that would add it to a printed character sheet.
It's on the roadmap. I think they are hoping (but not promising!) to have it in place for season 9. Knowing that AL was planning massive changes for season 8, there was no point in trying to start AL support before the changes were finalized; by the time they were*, there simply wasn't time to put stuff in place for season 8.
*Actually, I think the specifics of those rules are still in flux.
I'm hoping that granular sharing (which is on the short-term roadmap) will allow for the PHB+1 restriction to be set up by players, not just the DM, but I don't know that it will.
There really is no reason for waiting for both letting you setup for PHB+1. They also need to fix the options they show (once a Druid picks a circle, no longer show options from other circles for example). They could also add a log sheet to the characters: when played, what played, DM, free form sections for start information, earned from adventure, finished with, and notes. By making the sections free form, some people could use it outside of AL, and it wouldn't be a format tied to AL rules. There are other groups that do a similar approach to AL (that is fixed rules for character building that allow characters to have simple portability between play groups, etc.) Based on social media postings, some of them seem to be gaining in popularity since the obscenity called the season 8 rules were announced.
Is there any update on adding AL Support? I play several games using DnDBeyond and Beyond20 so it would be really nice to be able to guarantee that my character is AL compliant without having to research each class and spell.
Given how much AL rules change every year, I’ve come to the conclusion that trying to provide AL support would be like playing whack a mole. Which means it would take resources away from other projects/improvements on an ongoing basis. As much as I would like to see it, and understand the need for it, I’m not sure it will be coming any time soon.

Adventurers League support is coming, most probably this summer.
BadEye confirmed some time ago that they are waiting for some changes to the AL system to be officially announced bi WotC before releasing anything.

I would also really like to see this. Mainly the Source + 1 rule that is rough to keep track of in DnD beyond.

Please do Adventurers League support, would be great to tune the selection to PHB+1 and track logs together with character sheet.

I agree... we shouldn't have to wait for these (what seems like) simple additions. But it isn't on their radar at present it seems.
It would also be good to just have a little logo on the character page that means the character is AL official.
It's 2020. Still hoping for AL Support.

*Shouts hello in 2021*

Some one asked me about a setting in D&D beyond to help facilitate character creation using adventure League rules for an up coming campaign.
