I've been told before that the reason this program does not allow characters to buy Giant Riding Lizard mounts, though it does feature them as fightable monsters, is due to Out of the Abyss from WotC not listing their retail cost as an item. Any plans for a fix? Barring that, how about making non-magical homebrew items? If I could make a creature as mount/equipment that would give me a perfect work around. There are a lot of mundane items available for purchase as is, but so many more that most DMs would like to be able to add custom. I realize I can (and have) make a homebrew magical item and then just not give it any abilities or spells, but that doesn't quite work for every type of mundane item.
Thanks,
Jeremy Bulloch

I agree that homebrew mundane items would be exceedingly helpful. Personally, though, I don't see creatures in that category. I do know that they are planning to add the ability to track companions, pets, familiars, etc. to the character sheet. I would hope that mounts and other creatures could be part of that feature. For now, I have created a homebrew "monster" for the companions, etc. I needed to create.
I'm doing the same for companions, but the current builder treats mounts as a specific type of equipment like weapons or armor. The fact that the only published mount left out of the builder is the ONE that I need for my game is just frustrating.

Ah; I hadn't noticed that other mounts count as equipment. In that case, you are right, there should be homebrew options.
