I have a level 5 Artificer/Armorer, when I infused a homunculus the character sheet pulled up a handy dandy reference monster... except this isn't accurate at all to the character class version, and none of the numbers update, leading to quite a protracted debate in my group as other's pointed out that the version listed in Tasha's with the class didn't match the version I was using on the website. Could this please be corrected?
The homunculous statblock available in extras is for the older version of artificer. DDB’s system can’t yet handle creating statblocks connected to the character sheet that make calculations based on the main character’s proficiency bonus, as required for homunculous and a batch of other “companion” options for various subclasses. You should have access to a statblock from the “features and traits” section of your character’s page (you may need to tap on the “homunculus entry there), but you will need to do some of the PB related math. The workaround I generally recommend is to create a homebrew statblock (using the “old” homunculus as a template), edit it to update it, and add to the sheet as a “misc.’ extra. The statblock will need to be edited each time your PB changes, and perhaps at other times.
That's an understandable issue, but could the default that pops up at least match what's on the artificer as listed? I was having to do the math myself anyway but being told I'm using the wrong stat block as the basis of my calculations, and perhaps worse, having them be right is pretty frustrating. The Tasha's book has a nice little box that looks just like the one that is already linked on the sheet.

It can’t “match what’s on the artificer as listed” because the system can’t do the math required to do so. What would be helpful, though, would be if they would go back and clearly mark the “old” artificer statblock (and the DOIP sidekicks) as being specific those sources and not the same as those found in Tasha’s. That ought to be doable in the descriptions.
I'm not requesting that it do the math. I'm requesting that it replace the jpg or png it currently links to, showing masters might, with the correct stat block that explains how the bonuses are extrapolated shows that the homunculus can gain more hp and doesn't include the ambiguous master's might text.
I'm not privy to the code involved but it seems that a png/jpg swap should be easier than coding in the calculations (which aren't there anyway) I just want the sheet to link to the correct information.
I apologize. I read too quickly, and assumed you were raising an issue I often see raised related to items added in the extras menu when certain features have been updated. But I went back today to test/verify some things, and now I see what you mean: the statblock in the Features and Traits section is wrong. You are absolutely correct that it should be correctable, to reflect the statblock as it shows up in Tashas and the artificer class pages. (And as somewhat similar statblocks like those for the optional Ranger’s primal companion and other newer “pet” options that use PB in the cal;curations.
Hopefully a moderator or staff member will see this thread and get it on the list. While it is not as far as I know a jpeg or png, I think it should be fairly correctable, as it seems like the kind of issue that staff have often been able to correct in the past.
Once again, I’m sorry it took me so long to understand where exactly you were seeing the problematic stat block.

The version linked on the character sheet.
The version that should be on the character sheet.*
