I've tried several ways of sharing my character's background story so that it's visible on the character sheet, but to no avail. The "Description" and "Notes" tabs are both hidden, and I'm out of ideas.
Am I just doing it wrong? (EDIT: Now I know it's not just me).
Has anyone found some kind of workaround for this?

That was done on purpose so that you can have the pleasures of either roleplaying out telling them, or roleplay keeping secrets.

That doesn't make much sense. What should've been done "on purpose", was at least having an option to share the amount of information you wish to share. You can still provide whatever new information you want while playing the game, and also keep secrets from whomever you want. That wouldn't change at all if you had access to an info box with some commonly known information about the characters. Heck, you could even leave that box blank if you wanted to stay secretive and do it all in-game. Just not implementing something is not a feature.
But yeah - I suspected that I wasn't just me who couldn't find it, and that's why I also asked for a workaround. Anyone?
The work around is simple, Start a group PM for the campaign and copy/paste. As of right now, only the player and the DM can see those fields, not other players. It’s by design. I didn’t design it, I’m just the only person who took the time to answer your question.

Hey, don’t shoot the messenger.

Sorry, trying not to!
Thanks for replying.
Really sucks that they still haven't changed this for over 2 years now. It really makes things annoying
