I was browsing through some items in the big item repo on here, only to find some from the old school adventure The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan. This adventure has the same kind of breakdown as the others, with the ability to purchase the items and monsters, but not the compendium content.
For whatever reason, this content doesn't seem to be apparent anywhere on the marketplace, but instead only apparent in unique URLs like so: https://www.dndbeyond.com/marketplace/source/18
Is there any way to look at all of the conceivable things available in the marketplace? Weird that this would be so buried and seemingly unaccessible for those willing to pay money for them.
Is there a plan to "break these out" and make them more visible? Because of the nature of the inherent content, it stands to reason that users would want the ability to pick and choose individual elements from each. That there is a dedicated page for that single adventure module that is only accessible via the items or monster pages is kind of weird (the link above has the ability to purchase each full adventure module, but provides no sense of the purchasable breakdowns in each one).
On the link I provided above, click on "View Details" on an adventure module. It should open the dedicated page of that adventure, with the options to purchase the single module, the single monsters and items.

Filcat: when I click on this link and choose "view purchase options," all I see are the individual adventures, a price, and "Add to Cart" there are no links to a page like Jomo provided above, and no reference to individual monsters or magic items. This has always been the case for me. I had assumed that individual monsters and magic items were not purchaseable in TFYP. Now I'm thinking there's an issue with the Marketplace, perhaps?
I see the View Details button beside each adventure within Tales of the Yawning Portal. When I click it, I see the individual items and monsters. So I think it is working as Filcat described - at least on desktop view. When I look at the Marketplace index and scroll through the various offerings, I see some have more specific listings at the bottom of the description. For instance, Storm King's Thunder says, "Included in this pack: 31 Monsters and 17 Magic Items." But Tales from the Yawning Portal says, "Included in this pack: 7 Sources." Perhaps a little more detail in that descriptor, like "7 Sources with monsters and items, click to view." or some such would help?
This is what I see on both desktop and mobile; there is no "view details" button. Either I'm completely missing something, or we are seeing very different things.
I think we are seeing different things. I have purchased that content already. Maybe that is the difference? If so, that seems backwards from how it ought to be. Potential buyers ought to see each option with the Add to Cart, not just the adventure. When I click View Details, it takes me to the monster or item detail page. It might be working as designed, but that design needs some work.
Once you have purchased content, it no longer lets you add it to the cart. When you click on an item it will take you to the appropriate page in the content you purchased. If you log out it should show you the add to cart button. I don't see why it would work any other way, because then it may make it so some people accidentally purchase things they already own.
The problem is with people who haven't purchased the material yet. They don't see the option to View Details of what all they can purchase within the adventures. Some of the adventures in Tales from the Yawning Portal have subsections of items that can be purchased, but that is not viewable without knowing the URL. There ought to be a View Details link from each of the adventures in TFTYP to a page like the one that's linked in the OP. Maybe to keep things from getting confusing, it could be called something like View Purchase Options?
Exactly this point. It would be really nice to see a more comprehensive marketplace breakdown in general where theres just an adventures section, and an items section, and a monsters section etc.

That is because that adventure is a part of the Tales of the Yawning Portal.
You can purchase the single adventure modules from the link above.
Ah, understood.

Thanks, Filcat!

I have passed this thread to the staff, I am sure soon you'll see some update on this.
