Just a check on some adding of math for some odd pricing on the legendary bundle..... i currently own all but the water deep stuff and the legendary bundle's price is still $130+ so my question is simple... how can $50 of books ADD an additional $80 to the total cost..... 15% off for future purchases COSTING $80??? ummmmm what? may as well not worry about the legendary bundle when the NON discounted books are CHEAPER than what i would be saving lol not sure if its a math issue or a me issue... someone help =D
Could it be you bought stuff at discounted prices?
the legendary bundle starts off at a certain price, and when you buy something it gets taken off the LB price. However I think it was stated somewhere if you buy something at a discounted price then it reduces the LB by what you paid, not by what it cost originally. So you end up with a situation like you have found.
As an example, the standard price of the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual is $29.99 each, so a total of $89.97 to purchase those.
If you purchased those three books with a 25% off coupon, you would only pay (89.97 * 0.75) = $67.48
The key thing to note is that your purchase would reduce the price of the Legendary Bundle by the amount paid, not by the face value of the books, so in this example, the Legendary Bundle would be reduced by $67.48 not by $89.97.
Given that purchasing the Legendary Bundle represents a 15% saving on all of the content included within it, it is possible to purchase all of the books contained in the bundle for cheaper than that amount, IF you had discount coupons for all of those books that represented more than a 15% saving.
