The question might be worded a little wrong so let me explain, now I'm relatively new to D&D so I've just been kind scrambling all over the place to try to check & double check any & all concepts I have to try & make my concepts work while being as balanced as possible but.. I mean I can only ask so many people & get so much feedback..
Its been kinda defeating when I'll talk to people & get into a groove then something happens then I don't or can't hear from them for a while. I don't blame them but for new players like me its kinda frustrating since I really don't know anybody who's got that "D&D Master" level of experience with all this stuff like homebrewing or variations & etc.. and I barely have any experience on my own.
Is it possible to set up some kind of system where, now I don't know if this will be incorporated in to the character builder or not but... Could it be possible to have some members of the game designing staff from Wizards of the Coast to help out here in the forums with these sort of things? I mean granted there's alot of stuff which depends on the DM of your game but it would be really helpful I think to get some feedback on this stuff from the Pros.
Plus if you ask me you could use it as a way for D&D designers to see what the players are up to & maybe get their own inspiration, work with the players & maybe even incorporate some concepts into the game as unearthed arcana or something to that effect? What do you guys think? Am I just being a n00b about this or is this an issue worth talking about?
That sounds like a great suggestion, Entity. Having a few members of WOTC around would really help develop community interaction and promote open communication.
I can't make any promises or guarantees, but keep your eyes and ears open and we'll see what we can do. In the meantime, we have many great and experienced members here on this forum. Strike up a few conversations in the Rules & Game Mechanics or Tips & Tactics boards to get feedback you may have questions on. I'm finding that members are waiting to gobble up new content and provide their experiences to help others. You just have to ask-

Answers are one thing sure, but following through & finishing are another. I've got like 3-4 characters who I've gotten alot of feed back on which is great but.. I don't really know how to finalize these things. Since I can look at all the reference material but putting it together is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle upside down. Its hard to see how it all fits in when besides just there being like a myriad of variations the character sheet structure is inconsistent.
Like the character customized sheets look completely different than the templates on the official site. And yes I can see what they say but its like filling them in to the custom sheet is kinda confusing. Plus I'll run into spots where things don't match up or make sense so then what?
If you have specific questions and want an official answer, you can try twitter and sage advice.
Are you after an experienced DM, who has done all the things you're trying to do before and can guide you through how to do them, answering questions as you go?
It's a fun idea. Whether it will happen, I have no idea, but I'm sure all the folk over at WotC are following DnD Beyond's progress.
Until we hear otherwise I will echo my moderator cohorts and suggest you ask us mere mortals here in the DDB forums. Make a thread for your character, and whenever you need help on something, whether making a new character or leveling up or otherwise, post again within it and ask for new opinions.
As to setting it up, and beating the confusion of all the different character sheets, I'm going to put the crazy idea out there of actually trying to make your own sheet. Ignore other templates, ignore how each differs. Get to grips with what builds a character - race, abilities, skills, feats etc, follow the PHB or whatever source you're using. You may get it wrong, it will be trial-and-error, but sometimes doing is the best way of learning. It worked for me when I first found DnD. When you understand what each part really means, you'll have a much easier time slotting them into pre-made character sheets whatever their design. Just an idea!
Have you tried to join a game that welcomes new players? The DMs in those tend to be very helpful, guiding you through characters and helping as you begin their adventure.

...Well I would be surprised if that was possible considering some of the stuff I've got but yes thats more or less what I'm looking for. u_u
Plus some actual darn example character sheets that LOOK like the "STARTER SET CHARACTER SHEETS" on the official site instead of something written like a masters degree thesis... *grumble grumble grumble*
If you have specific issues you'd like to discuss, you may find experienced DM's in this community who would be willing to talk to you over Skype/Discord etc.
You can always try asking for experienced DM's in Tips & Tactics or Rules & Game Mechanics. A lot of DM's are willing to help new players at great length, and it might be possible that you can find a couple here. There's a LOT of information, and people who have been playing for years have most of it memorized, or at least know how and where to access that information. There are NO stupid questions and a good DM will help guide you through any questions you may have.Ask around and see what you can find.

*insert Paradoxical laughter*. Not to sound rude but you make it sound easy. The weird thing is I know at LEAST 3-4 D&D groups personally outside of these forums, 1 of them I can't get on cause its a pre-recorded thing with set people, another had a guy drop out at random but when I asked they said "apparently this person weren't allowed to do that so its not going to happen" thus vetoing the whole thing, and the one that I tried to get on with peeps I hang out with online regularly... Who I thought would be cool with this, and after mentioning it for... MONTHS since the minute they mentioned I wanted to join in & learn just.... up & decided to run it with out me! And they KNEW I'd been asking for ages now so what gives!
The only recent luck I've had to even be REMOTELY close to playing 1 game is for another group I know who ONLY, and I'm not joking about this, only do UnderDark/Menzoberranzan campaigns with primarily Drow related campaigns. And even THAT the characters have to go under an evaluation before they can even be considered for that campaign!
Its like, I thought this was supposed to be inclusive? But its like apart from the people I show my character sheets too (which I'm thankful those people take interest in those AT LEAST) everybody's a stickler with this! I can't even count the amount of times where I've tried to suggest something & people took like 0 interest or response & just gave up on trying this out entirely. To say I'm at my wits end is an understatement when it comes to these things! -_-;
Thats the thing though, I've got like a million step-by-step guides. Heck I even have a flowchart right now a buddy gave me, but those can't really answer some of the left field questions that I've got.

Well don't know what to say. Most of the game comes with experience. but as I said this community + sage advice are very complete guides for the rules. The moderator that have answered you earlier (the guys with orange name) are very solid and present here.
Hope you will enjoy your D&D experience.

Go step by step. I know that D&D is not the easiest game in the world.
Here you can find some guidelines for the character creation, which is the fist step for a player.

As you can see, the community here is quite active, and by the way, do not hesitate to ask any question.
