I created my Arcane Trickster in DND Beyond at 5th level for an upcoming adventure. This platform allowed me to choose spells technically not allowed to an AT based on the Enchantment and Illusion spells limitations published in the PHB. I caught it and went back and fixed it myself, but it would be great if the "Manage Spells" area allowed you to pick one spell of any type and then greyed out all but the Enchantment and Illusion spells. I mean, it would be nice to have Shield AND Feather Fall AND Chromatic Orb, but that's not RAW. Am I missing something, or is this an oversight?
I think the reason they don't enforce them, might be for homebrew friendly reasons. But I do agree that a way to block out certain spell types would be a nice addition. I hope that is included in an update soon!

Hi there,
you're correct - the builder doesn't enforce those rules on you.
This may be added in a future update.

If that change is implemented, it would be great to do something similar for eldritch knights.
