First, let me say that I continue to be impressed with the functionality of D&D Beyond, even this early in the beta. I've been using it for reference in my PbP game, and it's been very handy. Much better than digging through the SRD pdf.
I was looking at the newly added Class info, and I realized it would be really helpful if the various equipment items were linked/tooltipped in the way that spells, monsters, etc. are. This is especially true of the equipment packs, to make it easier to see what is in the packs, but it is true for weapons and other items as well.
The dev team are continuing to add further tooltips to D&D Beyond, but we can't have them too distracted from delivering phase 2!
You'll notice that magical item tooltips are created using the [ magicitem ] tag. This is because it's planned to implement an [ item ] tag at some point in the future, for regular equipment like weapons, armour etc. The dev team will share details with us all when there are further tags added!

Wonderful. I knew more tags were planned, but wasn't certain which ones.
