In the "Character Preference" page, at the start of the character builder, allow a toggle option for "Adventure League" characters. The user can then pick their PHB+1 resource so there is no confusion on what content that specific character can access. Easily maintaining their 'legal character' status.
v Expanded arguement for the feature below. v
Plenty of AL players use DDB for their character building and managing. It is all too easy for newer or unfamiliar players to accidently mix multiple resources. Backgrounds, sub races, spells, etc. and accidently make a non-legal character. I'd like to see a toggle option that would restrict the characters creation tools to just the currently allowed AL resources.
e.i. Adventure League character ✓
PHB+1 - Xanathar's Guide to Everything ✓
And then only the Basic Rules, PHB, and XGtE content would be available on that character.
Staff have said there are plans for AL compliance mode within D&D Beyond.
I expect that the source management feature needs to be implemented first, which will allow discrete sharing of individual books/sources within campaigns, but this is definitely on the roadmap last time it was discussed.
This is by far my most wanted feature at the moment.
That or make it easier to see what options is from what book like you did with GGTR
it could be as simple as to add the book in the description panel in the character sheet page.
On this note, it would be great if the homebrew symbol were next to homebrewed options in character sheets. I had a player ask me a rules question about a homebrew spell he forgot he added to his collection, and I have to label all of my homebrew creations as such so they don't get taken without approval.
