would it be possible to add certain flavour or lore information on the monsters? this information is for the most part available for other aspects of the game, like player races, classes and unique items, but as far as I can tell there is no way to find out more than just gameplay aspects of monsters without going to wikis and forums. Having the information on the official site would allow for greater ease of access and keep sections consistent, as the lack of greater information makes it contrast starkly from the depth of the rest of this site.
The flavour provided by the 5E books is on the relevant monsters. For example if you head to the page for Goblins (linked below) you can find their related lore from the book.

Not quite. the information provided does give details of the physical appearances and certain traits of the monsters, but does not go as deep into lore, behaviour and general culture as I'd like, but thank you regardless.

Are you perhaps speaking of Wiki information, like that provided by the Forgotten Realms wiki? I believe that it includes information from many editions of D&D, while D&D Beyond is solely 5th edition.

Hi there Redwing546,
the information you're after is available in the relevant compendium such as the Monster Manual or Volo's Guide to Monsters.
Some of it, where it is sensible to do so, is also available on the specific monster entry, such as the information on the beholder.
