Ever since Eberron: Last War dropped, i've noticed that this company has become increasingly greedy and selfish. Content that i've paid for, races namely, have been vanishing from my dash as if they were never there at all. Firstly, i noticed that all of wayfinder races, Changeling, Warforged, etc, were completely gone. from a source book that was charged for full price and included in packs like the race pack. Then i discovered that The dragonmarks, again charged content, was released for free as homebrew material by D&D beyond. which while a nice gesture, is a slap in the face to people who paid for it. *then* i noticed that subraces to the Aasimar have been removed, despite the fact i had paid for the package of them and could previously access them. only to discover that they were now going to be charging extra for the subraces. Of course i don't get my money back, or get to keep my races. So, it seems to me that i cannot and should not support D&D beyond, change my mind?
Edit after responses: Thanks for all the replies! I am unable to access any of the eberron races and my Aasimar page is not displaying any of the subraces (but i can access the subs in builder. i am unable to access eberron in builder as well) I will likely contact support to see what i can do to get this resolved, and then either remove this post if i am successful, or attempt a refund. Thank you all for helping me with this!
All the WGtE content was changed. That was a WotC decision not a DDB one, and there was a disclaimer in the marketplace description and the intro of the book that it would change. People are still understandably upset about how badly it was made obsolete and DDB is putting some content in homebrew and giving refunds if people ask.
I don't know what happened to your Aasimars, that sounds like a bug and I'm sure if you put in a ticket, support staff can help you with that (might take a while due to holidays). I take it you are referring to the VGtM Aasimar?
Even with Wayfinder, you should have access to the updated Changeling. (And existing characters that used the playtest version of the changeling should still use that version as long as you don’t change the race).
Warforged change significantly from playtest to official forms; there are no longer subraces. However, Adam Bradford (general manager for DDB) did publish homebrew versions of the original (playtest) warforged subraces. I think it may be the case that you need a subscription to add them to your collection. This is an exception to DDB’s usual rule that UA content, or content created by someone else cannot be published, done in response to the face that many purchases of Wayfinders felt cheated by the drastic changes to content they paid for. Adam did the same with thee greater dragonmarks and a few other things that disappeared from Wayfinders. As DxJxC indicated, the changes to Wayfinders and the idea of asking folks to pay for playtest content (with the promise that they would eventually get the updated/official content as part of their original purchase) was Wizard of the Coast’s decision. I think they didn’t consider how that would work on DDB; at least for those who purchased on DMsGuild would in theory still have their original PDFs.
Note that DDB has offered to refund folks for Wayfinders if they are unhappy with what has happened. If you would like to do this, you can use the “contact us” link under support below.
However, as DxJxC said, something else is going on if you have lost other content beyond Wayfinders. (And, if you don’t have access to the new/updated/official Changeling, etc and have purchased Wayfinders). This would also be something to contact support about. It is the holidays, so it may take a bit for them to get back to you, but they will.
One of the most common explanations for the loss of content that I have seen on this forum is users inadvertently having more than one account here. If you haven’t done so already, try this: click on your user name in the upper right of this page, click on “Account” then on the “marketplace” tab and scroll down to “Current Product License”. Is all the content you expect to be listed there present? In terms of Aasimar, for example, is Volo’s listed? For Changeling, etc., is Wayfinder’s listed?```
