I think it is an issue that when you view something directly (e.g. though the monster or race list) the sidebar and other variant rules are not visible on the main entries. In some cases you have to actually go to the sourcebook to find it which defeats the purpose of being able to just go to the entry under "Game Rules" and use it without having to wonder if there are other rules not being displayed. Listing another entry in the search (e.g. pseudodragon variant) is a poor workaround when it is available (which it isn't in all cases).
Here are a couple examples:
The pseudodragon example above. Listing it in search as a separate entry is a poor workaround that does nothing but confuse less experienced players.
When I go to Gnomes -> Deep Gnome under "Game Rules" races, the Svirfneblin Magic feat isn't listed and I have to go to the sourcebook to find it. Without having read the physical book previously, I would not even know that it existed based upon my normal use of the site (to just go to the list of races). There doesn't seem to be any way to find this when going to gnomes.
I have similar feedback in not knowing the actual page numbers from the books since other sources reference content by page number. I will save that for a separate thread. Perhaps there is a way to do this, too, of which I am not aware.
Like I said, sorry if this has been discussed beyond a thread on variant rules that from what I saw didn't take the gnome example into account.
There are lots of variant monsters. I don't really care for the way they did it either, but they all show up in the monster list without having to find it in the sourcebook.
Svirfneblin Magic is a feat. It is on the feat list with the rest of the feats, not on the races list. You also don't have to find it in the sourcebook.
Thanks. Yes, sorry I was not clear. I probably could have boiled this down to the issue being that you need to see this information when you view the entry, not by trying to find it through other means, alternate entries, etc. More experienced players that know what they are looking for may find it a usable workaround, but for inexperienced players this causes nothing but confusion.

I appreciate it.
I've yet to see someone not able to find feats or expect to see them listed in races.
I have had players ask if the familiar variant monsters were the ones summoned by find familiar, which they are not.
