I absolutely adore the maps tool so far and the additions the team has been making to it. Drawing tool made AOE spells so much cleaner to depict! I understand that it is currently in active development, but I wasn't sure where we could provide thoughts.
I personally use a LOT of different maps for my campaigns. In a lot of ways, this has been very fun to utilize this tool, but exhausting to build each possible scenario that requires enemy or npc chips into each map to then hide them from view. Especially if it's the same enemies that follow through maps. Ends up taking me a very long time pre session to simply prepare the chips, sometimes I have to ask players to close their eyes and I bring in monsters to then hide them which is a shame lol but we get by.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make this easier? I would love a way to detach the chip UI to have the chips always available without having to pull up the window, and something like a "hold shift to add hidden" ability for DMs to insert things on the fly and surprise their players. I've read a few other suggestions regarding a chip search filter, the one regarding integrating your encounter builder is great, especially if it could recognize when the map is for a campaign that the encounter is also selected for to calc difficulty.
I also thought a "copy and paste chip data" option would be wonderful as well. I rename chips sometimes and having to do that over and over again can be very annoying. I understand that you could homebrew a companion or monster to get the chip, but that seems bloated.
