I am happy to share my content with those in my campaigns, however as a DM I would like to be able to restrict the contents and portions of the contents, especially those from adventure modules, while spells, items, and class options that are available I would like to be able to select what they can view. don't want them to have access to the adventure it's self, or the villains.
Content management is currently in development. The first pass will let you turn things on and off at the book level, and, as I understand it, will prevent access to the adventures, even in those sources you allow access to. Development often takes longer than we like, so it could still be a while before we see it but is coming and it is now in development rather than “upcoming.”
Do you have a master tier subscription and if so, are they in a campaign with you that has content sharing enabled. Those are the three steps you need to follow to enable content sharing

Yes, of course I've done all three of those.
What is more likely is that he may not have actually looked in the right place? I'm not sure. I wasn't there when he looked. I'll check when we meet on Friday.

I asked one of my players if he could access one of the modules I bought, and he said no...?

You could give him the direct link to the module; if he can open it, sharing is working.
For example, Dungeon of the Mad Mage would be: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/wdotmm
