I'm working on a class that at this point has seemed to take on a life of its own, and as such I was wondering has the thought of being able to add full on homebrewed classes been addressed ever?
It’s on the list of things they hope to do some day, but there are a LOT of things on that list, many of which are higher priority and/or not as complicated to do, so it will be a while. Personally I’d be surprised if the ability to do homebrew classes happens in 2020. I’d think it more likely in 2021 or even 2022. But that’s just my take as a long-time use of DDB; I don’t have any inside information about hoped for timeframe, and DDB staff never give out timelines.
They have been optimizing dev time in the background. They should be spending less time on books and more time on development to finish projects faster be able to work on more projects at a time.
I still don't think homebrew classes in 2020 is likely. But by the end of 2020, I think we might feel more optimistic about dev times.
