I cant create feat perquisites for the ravnica and newer races because they lack race groups, nor can i select them as parent races for my variants of races. I dont know why this is the case, but seeing as kobold has a race group, it should be fairly easy to add them for the other races.
I agree it would be helpful if they added race groups for all races—as well as the ability to define homebrew race groups (although I can see where that would be harder). But if you own the Ravnica content (as opposed to having it available via content sharing) you should be able to make variants of the Ravnica races even if they don’t have race groups—I checked and I can.

I have made variants for them, it just annoys me that they float around in the race selection screen independent of their parent race.
