Would be nice to have something on screen in dndbeyond compendiums to show what their corresponding page number is in the physical copy. Was talking with someone and found what they were looking for, but they didn't have dndbeyond and so i could only direct them to the chapter i was looking at. unless i'm missing something.. i didn't see a way to view this.
this is something that I've discussed with one of the developers before - it's not something they could easily do, due to the way that digital content is displayed differently to the physical books and for the amount of work required to implement, they are much better off prioritising developing a new feature instead.
What they did do is add limited support for page numbers - every spell (for example) states which book it's from and which page it is on.
It might happen at some point in the future, but it will be quite some way off.
I have to agree with the OP on this one. As a DM, I often have a player ask me what page something I am referring to is on. I then have to manually cross-reference DnDBeyond with my own physical copy of a book so I can tell him. At the table 2 of my regular players play6 on PnP. They don't have laptops or a mobile device.

Are the page numbers exactly the same for all translations of the physical books? It would be pretty annoying if the page numbers reported by DDB were almost always wrong for non-English printings of the books. Also, are there different revisions/reprints of the books that incorporate errata, which could potentially shift some page numbers around?

I'm believe that page numbers are not exactly the same for all translations, as I recall a discussion about this on social media. I don't have the different language versions to verify myself though.
Errata could indeed change what page number something is on, though it's unlikely to move by more than +/- one page I would expect.
And for the reverse (converting page numbers - from the 3 core books, SCAG, or XGTE - into DDB links), they also made this site: https://ddbredirecter.com/redirecter/

Ditto to Mergon's comments.
Adding the facility to "look up rules based on page number from the physical book" is not something that is planned.

I understand this is not a planned feature, but I would like to throw my name into the hat of people who would like this to become a planned feature.
Thanks!
Still hoping for this, having rules sources sharing page numbers and being unable to cross reference is extremely useful...
Those hoping for such a feature might find this thread by community member "fohswe" useful: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/rules-game-mechanics/35037-page-references-d-d-beyond-to-core-rules
