I see several posts a week (if not a day) of posts saying that since they have the physical books, they should be able to unlock D&D Beyond content.
IMHO, it would be beneficial if there could be an automod filter that would look for users with <5 posts whose post contains certain keywords (books, code, purchased, free) and redirects them to a page explaining how D&D Beyond and WOTC are different companies and that whole spiel. I'm optimistically hopeful most people would read it and realize why that's not possible. It would allow DDB to present a unified, consistent answer to the most frequently asked question and source of friction to new users.
Unfortunately, it's a difficult thing for filters to pick up and may cause a lot to slip through or get filtered incorrectly.
Ive been on a few forums where similar features were used and it was a disaster. It caused a mess. And it was for simpler filters to implement than this.
It's a good idea, just not one that can actually be brought to fruition as intended.

Most of the time people who haven't bought content just post that content is missing. Granted, 95% of "missing content" threads are people that just need redirected to the marketplace, but 4.9% of the time they have already bought the content and need to resync their entitlements (0.1% are actual bugs).
