Will D&D Beyond every support Adveturer's League organized play? The new season 10 starts today with the release of the new book and it brings an even more complicated rule set. It would really be nice to be able to choose AL when creating a character and then choose the season and +1 book.
I agree. I would love the option of checking a box for Adventurer's League legal on the first page of character creation and knowing it would follow the proper guidelines for the current rules. You can already include or exclude content from homebrew and many other sources so this should be a possibility. The current rules are a disaster that they will likely need to adjust, but there should be a disclaimer of what season and version the website is using for character creation.
Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"

As you essentially name yourself, one of the challenges of providing AL support is that AL rules are a moving target, and always will be. It is on the roadmap, but I understand why they haven’t gotten to it yet.
I don't really care if Beyond verifies if my character is legal because I understand that by the time they implement each season's rules, the season would be half over (optimistically). What I want is to be able to designate that a character's +1 sourcebook, and have the Character Builder filter out all options except PHB and the chosen +1. Given the ability to filter out Homebrew/Eberron/MtG, this should be very simple, and shouldn't be held up while implementing verification of any other AL rules. Get the simplest thing done first.

Yeah, this would be really helpful, both for AL and other games where sources are restricted.
