I have many ideas for characters who are Lycanthropes or Vampires, but I cannot create them because there is no option in the digital character sheet. I wonder if they are going to add the feature?

These are optional choices the DM might offer but aren't common enough for this to be a priority. So, this is why it hasn't been set up yet or might never.

I think it would be nice for there to be template support - so you can just apply the template to a character, and it becames a templated version of the race - i.e. a werewolf, vampire, etc. Especially if they had option to homebrew their own such templates.

I don't see it happening anytime soon, though. You could make a homebrew feat that will apply changes, albeit in a slightly clunky way, but it'll do the job.

i really wish they'd allow us to make templates and allow for templates to be added to a character though. i agree with you...
instead of homebrew races they should add templates to the character sheet. even if its after the creation process.
