JoAT only adds half proficiency to an ability check if you do not already add your proficiency to it. That Rabbitfolk UA adds proficiency to initiative - so no JoAT for that.
Jack of all Trades Starting at 2nd level, you can add half your proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check you make that doesn’t already include your proficiency bonus.

AHHHHHHH!!! While the description doesn't say "proficiency" when I hover over the +3 it shows "proficiency#signed". Makes sense now - Thanks!
If you click on the feature in the character sheet - you'll get the full description for it instead of the snippet. The full description does say you add your proficiency to it.
Never rely on the snippets for the rules - they're often made so short that they become misleading (and sometimes even incorrect).
Hi! I'm looking at my character (https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/JonaVenture/characters/53468899) and I'd assume that since he's a Bard with Jack of All Trades, as well as a UA Rabbitfolk, at level 7 his initiative bonus would be:
Dex Mod (+1) + JoaT (+1) + Hare-Trigger (+3) = +5
However I'm getting only +4. Am I missing something?
