I’m having the same issue where I got an email that my payment didn’t process, so I went through their link and resubmitted the payment for the Hero Tier via PayPal, but now it doesn’t show my paid subscription in my account. I contacted support and they advised the same instructions: cancel and resusbscribe. My concern is doing that will cause me to pay a second time for my subscription. I replied via the ticket that I initially submitted for this issue, asking if I would be refunded for the subscription I’ve already paid for (as of June 19), but no response now, and it’s been two days. I have no problem cancelling and resubscribing per their recommendation, but I don’t want to pay twice. Does anyone know if you follow the process they advise, will I be charged twice?
I do know that when.a subscription is cancelled, it still remains active for the remainder of the current period. What I don't know is when you would be charged if you then renew it. If you want to play it safe, though, you could cancel now and then wait to resubscribe after it expires.
Thanks, @spamandtuna, I appreciate the help and guidance!
If I don’t hear back from the Wizards support team in the next day or so, I may try that. Currently, it shows active on their end, but not in my D&D Beyond account. So worst case, I guess I live with only my current six selected characters and wait to reactivate/play the others next year. :)
You won't lose anything MIchael. I was initially concerned that they would remove the extra campaign-sharing that was offered during Covid, but they are continuing to offer that as part of the Master's level anyway, so it could no longer be taken away easily. Everything is there, just unsubscribe and re-subscribe.|
I'm glad to have been of help!
I pay the yearly plan. If I cancel and resubscribe, will I get my money back?
For anyone else having this problem with Subscriptions, I don't know about other purchases, I have used the above method. Please note that canceling your subscription does not end it. Your active subscription will continue normally. The method I used: Login, Account, Licenses: This page showed the free trial button. When i canceled my subscription, this page showed the manage subscription button. To cancel your subscription you can log into the marketplace then go to subscription, or just try to activate a free trial. After verifying that i had access to the subscription benefits, i reactivated my account.
Everything seems to be working for now.
I cant believe how completely useless Customer Service was in this situation. I hope this helps.
