I am trying to buy the 2024 books, but they costs a lot more in the UK than in the USA.
USA via DDB = 1 purchase of 179.97 USD for the 2024 Digital & Physical Core Rulebook Bundle
Total Cost: 176.97 USD
This only ships the physical books to the USA.
So I cant buy from DDB directly. DDB instead has a small bit of text beneath the buy now button: Products shipping outside the US, checkout on our partner site →
Is it because I am not finding a bundle of all three or something? I am also worried, lIf I do it the UK way and order all three seperately for a HIGHER cost, then I wont get all the nice pre order benefits? This seems super unfair :(
Hobbies generally cost more outside their country of origin. Doing business internationally is not cheap, and there is no way around it (at least not in ways acceptable to most people). I dipped my toes into Warhammer last year, and Americans have to pay more in general compared to British customers. At least you are not in Australia and there is not a language barrier. Australia has really high shipping costs in general, and if you are into more obscure Japanese light novels/manga, good luck waiting for them to get localized and printed in English, and even fan translations take a long while.
There are a few exceptions to everything, like if you are a Taylor Swift fan, where some of her international concerts are probably more affordable than domestic concerts, even after factoring plane tickets.
As for the pre-order bonuses, I am pretty sure I read somewhere that you get them too, but you can ask a mod for clarification to be sure.

The price listings on D&D Beyond do not include sales tax as that is calculated after you've entered your address
USA Total Cost: 176.97 USD - This only ships the physical books to the USA.
UK total of 179.97 GBP which is 230.40 USD. Around 50 dollars more!

The prices on the UK store include VAT.
Ahhh, that does make sense! Is the 2024 Digital & Physical Core Rulebook Bundle sales tax 50 USD? I dont ever have to think about VAT so that seems like a huge number to me ^^
Annnyways, that's one issue sorted then. Thank you @Davyd! Can you LMK about the best method to buy the "bundle" from the UK? I want to get all those digital DDB goodies in the 2024 Digital & Physical Core Rulebook Bundle, but I cant see any way to do it from the UK.
I'm having the exact same problem. I live in Ireland and can't buy the bundle outside of America. I neeeed that dragons of DND art book. Does anyone know if it's just a delayed release in the EU?
Bumping this again! Sorry for spam. I just want those pre order goodies ^^
Is there a link to a similar UK based bundle?
The bundle is just adding them all individually on the partner store.
UK VAT is standard rate of 20% according to google.
Sales tax is dependent on state, province, territory etc in other countries so until you enter a valid address you won't see the correct tax. Other places will pay less since their tax is lower then UK VAT.
Meaning at base cost before VAT your paying ~149.98 GBP for the bundle.
Dndbeyond also will eat some cost in currency conversion when converting to USD unless they use GBP to do business (they might). If it were on our end depending on your credit card 2-3% (My credit cards are 2.5% but that might be different in different countries) is probably what you'd be looking at to pay in USD.
To pay in USD at current DDB price and exchange rate which fluctuates you'd be looking at ~143.89 GBP before tax/VAT which is ~172.67 GBP after VAT. This is assuming you were able to pay in USD at the price listed on DDB on a credit card using 2.5% exchange fee and 0.78 GBP per USD.
DDB (converted to GBP including exchange fee) vs Partner store : Before VAT 143.89 vs 149.98 with VAT 172.67 vs 179.97
The difference isn't that large when taking all fees and tax into account probably no more than 5-10 GBP at any given recent exchange rate. If exchange rates change enough it could swing the other way and you'd be paying less base cost (not including tax as that isn't set by DDB).
Let me see if I can clarify things. There are four sets of pre-order bonuses; three that come from digital pre-orders and one that come from bundle pre-orders. Here they are:

2024 Physical Core Rulebook Bundle on D&D Beyond (US only)

2024 Digital + Physical Dungeon Master's Bundle through dndstore.wizards.com (non-US only)
2025 Digital + Physical Monster Manual Bundle through dndstore.wizards.com (non-US only)
Note that there is no difference in terms of pricing or bonuses (once relevant taxes and exchange rates have been applied) between the 2024 Physical Core Rulebook Bundle on D&D Beyond and purchasing all three digital + physical bundles through dndstore.wizards.com. The difference in price once you convert from $ to your local currency when comparing the two is that D&D Beyond does not include tax in listings due to it varying based on state. Outside the US this is not the case and tax is included in listed price.

Hmm, it telsl me there is no Tax cost if I try to buy it on DDB (or rather it says its $0.00) so I cant check what the sales tax should be to compare

Do you have any way to prove that you get the bundle goodies for adding all of them on the EU store? Not trying to be rude, just want to be 100% sure.
