I'm trying to set up for a new campaign, and I'm having some issues with Xanathar's guide to everything. I do own it, and it's in my library, but I'm unable to access the celestial pact option specifically? Hexblade and fiend both come up fine; it's just celestial that's missing.
Edit: I wasn't using the legacy rules, I may be stupid :'
The XGTE version of that subclass is only available if you've selected the 2014 Warlock class. If you've selected the 2024 Warlock class, you'd need the Celestial from the 2024 PHB.
That's pretty messed up since we already payed for XGTE no? I was having a similar issue where in the Eldritch Invocations from XGTE didn't show up on the 2024 Hexblade warlock class. Even thoughit is from XGTE. Is there any plans to adjust that or am I forced to homebrew it somehow? I just wanna make a cool Caracter with features from books that I have already bought. Though I understand it's hard matching versions and coding everything. https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/141120381/xuNLS8
The subclasses work that way per the rules themselves. For anything updated in the 2024 PHB, the rules say to use only the updated version. The older versions of those updated subclasses continue to work on the 2014 classes as they always have.
The XGTE invocations, however, are a separate issue:
That's perfectly understandable acc, thank you for your swift response. We in the community appreciate the work you guys are doing to make D&D beyond better :) Have a good day

“Legacy Warlock Invocations aren't supported for the 2024 Warlock. We're working on supporting backward compatibility for Legacy Invocations, but we don't have an ETA.”
