My Monk is now level 3, which I have done, but Way of the Shadow is not an option when I look in the Monk Subclass options to select. Why might that be, as Way of the Shadow is one of the basic phb 2014 monk subclasses
You’ve probably selected the 2024 Monk class instead of the 2014 one. You’ll need to either remove that class and add the correct one, or purchase the 2024 PHB and its updated Warrior of Shadow subclass.
