Just a heads up, the issue is still present. All the other homebrew options work fine, but I can't click on or interact with the public homebrew species to add them. Is there an ETA on when they're gonna fix this issue?
Thank yall for the help. The problem has been solved and has been for a while; it was my mistake. I forgot I had posted it, and it was fixed within a day or so
Recently I found out that when I'm going to species homebrew, the list of species appears as usual, but I can't expand them to read info about them. Thought that it might be because of my browser(firefox), but same thing happened on different one. Checked other homebrew and background expanded normally, it's just species that is not working. Will this be fixed soon or is there a workaround way to subscribe to them or open the detail page?
Also can we get a rating sorting there?
Same precise issue... and same precise request; only I put it in feedback...
just a thought if you have an idea of which of the species in homebrew you wish to look at - someone might be able to grab you a link to them since (atleast on computer) clicking on the name of the homebrewed species takes you to the information page, which allows you to add them to your collection
currently unaware of a work around for mobile users
by what i can tell - using the first option in the homebrewed species section as an example
when someone clicks on the homebrewed species, the drop down box to show information seems to be trying to get the relevant information from /Races/1626098-a-mistborne/more-info which pulls up an error since that page can not be found, leading to no information being grabbed to populate the pop down box
i believe if the pop down box was instead directed to grab the information from /Species/1626098-a-mistborne/more-info it would then have the relevant information to populate the pop down box and work as intended
unsure why it decides to grab from /Races/ instead of /Species/ but i assume until that changes:
computer users will need to click the homebrewed species name (rather then the box) to view details and to have the option to add them to their collections
since theres yet to be a work around mentioned for mobile users unfortunately they might have to suffer until the issue is fixed (or switch to a computer temporarily when looking at homebrewed species)
Hello, I have had a recurring issue with the Homebrew Species page for the last few days that does not happen on the other Homebrew pages. When trying to click on a Homebrew Species option, the expanded information does not pop up. For the other Homebrew pages I have viewed (Monsters and Backgrounds) this issue does not happen, allowing me to view the information for the Homebrewed creations. Is this a potential bug caused by the change from Races to Species? That was my first thought here, but even creations published after the 2024 Rules were implemented cannot be viewed properly.
Known issue. Open the details in a new tab (Ctrl+Click or middle click) to see the details.
WotC needs to update the redirects or the URLs because it's still using Races in some spots and Species in others. So you aren't the problem, but this is your solution for now. Can't expand in the search page.
Note: I'm using this homebrew species from the front page of browse as an example. The method is a little clunky, but it works. The method specifically uses Firefox Mobile; Step 3 will have to change depending on your browser, you need to be able to View Source.
Step 1: Find the name of a homebrew you want to view Step 2: On the Browse Homebrew Subclasses page that contains the entry, Step 3: In the URL bar, add "view-source:" at the front of the URL (so it will look like "view-source:https://www.dndbeyond.com/..." Step 4: Using the Find In Page feature in the browser, search for a unique term in the homebrew name (note that spaces and punctuation are replaced with dashes) Step 5: Copy the URL piece ( <a href="/species/1144085-a-d-a-m-unit in our example, you'd copy from /species forward) Step 6: In a new tab, paste the piece you copied and add "dndbeyond.com" to the front of it
And there you have it. Clunky, unnecessary if WotC did their jobs, but a solution nonetheless.

No idea, but it’s troubling how long the issue remained unresolved.
It's just that the tab won't open and it's just him. I want to know when it's fixed. It's in the homebrew section.

This issue is still not resolvrd im on android dont know if that means anything
Neither the app nor the website will expand any of the homebrew species pages when clicked on. Ever other page of homebrew works as normal
They really do take their time with these fixes. If it were free to use then fair enough but for a top tier subscriber... this is not on.
just a thought

hope that helps
Still unresolved :/
Extra silly because I also cannot view my own collection/creations either.

I am also having this issue, it even is affecting the species that I have previously saved
Im having the same problem

Thats a pc only solution, there’s no current work around for mobile, and unfortunately for myself I am a mobile only user
Im also using mobile anyone have a work around for that

I try to find some uomebrew species, recently I wanted to find monkey/ape race to play as but no species no matter what won't let me select them
