The lack of monkey/ape species in Homebrew listings is not a bug. It's just a lack of options. Nothing stops you from making your own.
For an official monkey-related species try the Spelljammer book which features the Hadozee.

On re-read it seems you could be saying a bug is preventing you selecting the homebrew species when found. In that case ensure you have a Hero tier subscription and click Add to Collection. When making a character ensure the Homebrew toggle is on (it is by default but worth checking).

Oh I have spelljammers , tbh it's the first book I actually brought . But I just wanted a regular ape , none of the homebrew options aren't even opening up for me is what I meant
I'm having the same issue. When I go to homebrew species none of the listed species will expand / open. However, other homebrew content areas work for me.

So, recently I tried to browse the Homebrew content on my phone. I'm using the browser instead of the app. I see a Homebrew I want to look at, try to expand the little blurb, try to press the + button, try to figure out how to just open it.
Nothing. It's like those little drop down blurbs just can not be interacted with on a phone.
Tried it in desktop mode and it was the same thing. Is anyone else having this problem of the interface not being responsive while on the phone?
Just a quick edit, incase it helps: I can Click on the block and it highlights as if it has been clicked, and I can click on another one and the highlight will change... but nothing else seems to respond.
There’s a known issue at the moment with homebrew species, if that’s what you’re referring to. On desktop, you should be able to click the species name to see its details page. I don’t believe there’s currently a workaround for mobile.
