I noticed that when buildings Kenku or Kobold PCs (both from "Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse") the intelligence skill modifier incorrectly increases by a total of the Intelligence modifier + Wisdom modifier (+ Proficiency bonus, if the creature is proficient).
I only tested the Monsters of the Multiverse species above, but I don't see this glitch occurring with any of the 2024 species.
You are totally MVP, thank you! I chose Divine Order: Thaumaturge, and despite reading through the character sheet a dozen times, I missed this detail:
Divine Order: You have dedicated yourself to one of the following sacred roles of your choice. Thaumaturge You know one extra cantrip from the Cleric spell list. In addition, your mystical connection to the divine gives you a bonus to your Intelligence (Arcana or Religion) checks. The bonus equals your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1).
I'm a cleric/druid multiclass and chose both Thaumaturge for Divine Order and Magician for Primal Order. My character sheet is adding my WIS modifier twice for Arcana checks. Is this a bug? Or are those meant to stack? If so, finally a cleric good at Arcana checks! Wooohoo. But I think it's probably a bug. Does anyone know for sure? I wasn't able to find a definitive answer when searching. Thanks!

As long as they don't say they can't stack, there's no rule keeping you from adding a bonus based on the same modifier twice if two different abilities grant it.
Amazing. Ok, thank you. It's just slightly bonkers. We are just now converting our campaign from 2014 to 2024 and I have +6 (22) WIS (from a Tome of Understanding). So I'm going from a +1 Arcana check to a +13 Arcana check. Nature and religion are looking pretty good, too. Woohoo!

ModeratorAre you a 2024 Cleric who chose Thaumaturge for Divine Order? Or a 2024 Druid who chose Magician for Primal Order?
