Hey all, just wanted to ask for some clarification on the Hermit background feature in the character builder.
Specifically, in the PHB (purchased and fully unlocked as of this post), the Hermit is listed as having a tool proficiency with the Herbalism Kit. The rest of the entry during character creation reflects the PHB, except this entry in the character builder has a drop-menu under Tool Proficiencies instead of simply listing Herbalism Kit.
This suggests that the Hermit is being offered as a background where the tool proficiency choice is up to the player, which I am fine with, BUT the real problem I have found is that the Herbalism Kit in general seems to be missing from any Tool Proficiency menu during character creation, whether by race or background. I have not investigated this exhaustively, but I have confirmed it with the Hermit background at least.

Are you making a druid? If that is the case you already have the proficiency in Herbalism Kit.

I've just checked and the Hermit background definitely grants proficiency with the Herbalism Kit.
