I want my account(Resmyx) to be connected to my email(Resmyx@gmail.com), but I can't sign in with the old email to update my info. Help?
6+ years ago I created an account with my preferred username(Resmyx) with an old email (j***j73@gmail.com). I used the account once or twice so I could help my players who use DnDB, but that's all.
Today I'm trying to sign in and can't. I've used that old email and my new email(Resmyx@gmail.com). I've tried signing in via Wizards and via Google. I've tried the saved password from 6 years ago as well as a few others. The "Forgot My password" link doesn't send me any email to either address.
So I create a new account and find the username is taken...? With the new account(DeadDaVinci) I get curious and send a DM to my old account. Tee Hee! I get an email from DnDB to j***j73@gmail.com saying I got a message on DnDB.
So I know Resmyx is my account and it's linked to j***j73@gmail.com, but I can't access it. I'd much prefer to use the same username as everywhere else, but not have my deadname email attached to the account. Help?
If your account is that old, you probably used Twitch to sign in. That was all the site supported at the beginning.
D&D Beyond has no "Forgot My Password" button since it doesn't store any passwords. If you need help resetting your Apple/Google/Twitch/Wizards account, you'll need to contact those sites directly.
The login as I remembered it was exclusively DnD Beyond, not through twitch or any other linked site.
A few years back when Hasbro bought DnDB, they switched to Wizards Only logins, then a little later they updated to this new login system that offers 4 ways to sign in via linked accounts. Somewhere along the way, my DnDB had literally no login method anymore.
Support has been very helpful with getting my orphaned DnDB linked to a brand new Wizards account I setup yesterday. It's linked now and in theory I can login...?

When the mobile app launched, Apple and Google sign-ins were added to meet app store requirements. When WOTC bought the site, they added Wizard logins, but never removed any others.)
