I was trying to create a Paladin character today when I got to the 2nd level Fighting Style feature and found that it doesn't work as intended. As you can see from the attached screenshot, the feature doesn't allow me to choose any Fighting Style other than the Paladin exclusive Blessed Warrior option. I do not own any of the sourcebooks digitally but this character is in a campaign with content sharing on, and the DM owns the 2024 PHB. I can confirm that this problem occurs regardless of whether the character is in the campaign or not, and also, similar features for other classes like the Fighter and Ranger do not experience this problem, it is unique to the Paladin. Can you also please tell me if this is a known bug?
If I had to guess what may be causing this, I'd say that the feature does not grant the character the actual Fighting Style feat, which all the Fighting Style "sub-feats" are locked behind.

Disclaimer: I'm not an optimizer. If I say something that's not fine-tuned to perfection, that's on purpose. D&D isn't an online tournament, it's a TTRPG where your imagination and the DM's compliance are the limits. I don't do "metas". If I can have fun with my thematically cool and still viable (both in and out of combat) concept, I'm happy. I'm not going for optimal stats; I'm going for optimal fun.
Oh also the problem exists regardless of whether you use the "Use Prerequisites" function on the Home page of character creation. It doesn't matter if the box is ticked or not, the problem still happens.

I noticed this the other day and reported it — it will work if you enable "Homebrew" on the Home tab, for some reason.
A- you're right, that does work! How unusual
