Using 2024 rules, wildshape is supposed to use the character's or beast's skill proficiency, whichever is higher.
As of now, D&D Beyond displays incorrect stealth bonuses for numerous beasts when they are selected as a wildshape form in cases where the beast's proficiency bonus, including expertise, is higher than the character's bonus. Notable beasts include the giant spider, giant wolf spider, and panther. Each of these beasts should have a stealth proficiency bonus of +7, but their bonus defaults to +5 when selected as a 2024 wildshape form (an Extra) in D&D Beyond.
I posted about this issue last summer, and it seemed to be quickly resolved. However, in attempting to make another druid now, the problem is recurring. I would appreciate your looking into this issue again and hopefully fixing it permanently.
