I love building characters on D&D Beyond, but lately I have noticed that after any selection of an option, it takes 10+ seconds to load something, or save something, or update something, in which I can't do anything but sit there. It has taken the enjoyment out of the process as its very frustrating and slow.

Is there a reason for this? I cleaned up my browser files, cache, etc and checked my internet connection -- both are good, but the issue persists.

Same issue here, tried different browsers and different devices, same thing.

Also found out that it mainly happens when I use the ELF specie in the editor (14 sec+)

Switching to another race INSTANTLY fixes the editor (back to a few hundred milliseconds)

Please fix...

I did some experimenting on my end and this is actually the cause for me too. I was working on an Elf character. Something about the Elf race is totally broken, load times between selections shoot up instantly versus changing the race to anything else. Very frustrating.

I having same experience but with making spells or atm try to do anything on the website, takes a little while for it to load - sometimes get a 504 Gateway Time-Out.

Not sure what is going on but first time i experience this kind of issue. Its pretty much on dnd beyond, everything else is fine. lol

The fix they just released seems to be for the homepage & navigation only.

The Elf is as slow as before...

Elf is still extremely slow in character builder. It is taking 30+ seconds to load in some cases.

Any updates to the character in the builder tool, such as selecting spell options in feat options, changing racial feature options, changing subclasses, etc. Anything that prompts the loading screen, for whatever reason, takes forever to update the page, during which period I am unable to do anything on the builder. So I have to wait 15+ seconds between clicks to even see options.
