The only ones currently available for bards are those on the 'bard' spell list. Other's aren't available for selection.
A LOT of spells aren't available for Magical Secrets.
This is the first time First-Party content hasn't been in a long while, tho.
A similar issue exists for 5.5e Artificers' Magic Item Plans not covering every possible magic item that qualifies for it, & the clunky handling of 3rd-party Weapon Masteries.

Once made Maxwell's Silver Hammer come down upon Strahd's head to make sure he was dead.
Always study & sharpen philosophical razors. They save a lot of trouble.
I noticed this too. Battle Familiar, Grave Ground, Spirit Lantern are not available, but Catnap and other specific bards spells are.
This happens pretty much every time new spells are added. Inexplicably it seems to still not be part of the release process and has to wait until a user points it out after the fact.
