I have just started running Curse of Strahd with a group using Maps, and so far I am pretty satisfied with the experience. the quickplay encounters feature in particular is very handy for this campaign in particular.
However, there is an issue where Maps populates quickplay encounters with the 2024 variants of monsters... Since Curse of Strahd assumes the 2014 rules and encounters are balanced for that ruleset, this created issues where players using legacy versions of classes were up against 2024 monsters. This has now created an issue where the two rulesets are in conflict with each other and I will need to manually replace each 2024 monster with their legacy counterpart, somewhat defeating the purpose of the quickplay encounter feature.
I would really like to see the implementation of an option, when selecting a quickplay encounter, to use legacy content where available.
