I want to add a numerical counter to a subclass feature akin to the ones used for Lay on Hands and Ki Points. The TL;DR of the feature is that you add any damage you take to a pool of points, and you can expend those points for certain abilities.
I also want the count to start at 0 so it will go upwards (Unlike LoH and Ki which start and their maximum), and have the maximum total adjust to be equal to the player's hit point maximum.
Staff have talked about the possibility of adding the ability to introduce custom resources for subclasses, though I expect that this won't be for a while yet (if it happens).

Fair, thanks Stormknight. If you could pass on the feedback saying such a feature would be most welcome, that'd be awesome.
Yes this is possible. You can create an Action when making a subclass. By setting the action to reset on a long/short rest or through some other reset method and saving, that action will have the additional option of setting a Limited Use, which can change based on level. So you could create something similar to a Monk's Ki by adding an additional point each level, or like a Paladin's Lay on Hands by adding five per level.
It is however not possible to have the resource start at 0 and count upwards, which was the secondary desire of the original poster.

Is any or all of this possible at the moment?
Hi there Killchrono,
this isn't currently possible unfortunately.

Will do. I'd quite like it myself - I have a couple of ideas in mind for Fighter and Rogue subclasses.

Oooh interesting. Mine's a monk; I'm going for my attempt at the Brewmaster's stagger from WoW :)
Is this possible now?
