Hello new to using this website, i have created 2 campaigns and and am trying to add my friends to the campaign, the first player joined both with no issues but after him everyone else can not join, after they click the link i send them it gives them a error message. Please Help!
Just to check all bases - have your friends signed up and created D&D Beyond accounts, prior to clicking on your invite link?
You could try resetting the link - view the campaign and try clicking on RESET INVITE LINK at the top-right of the page. This will create a new invite link that you can send to your friends - get them to try that!
yeah they all have characters made, but when they click use this character to join campaign it gives an error message. new update! one of my players has no issues what so ever joining. i even tried deleting campaign and he joined but the others cant. is there a thing about character setting that could be not the same?
The only thing I can think of is that the campaign is hitting the character limit - there is a maximum of 12 characters allowed in a campaign (deactivated characters don't count).

the error reads "there was a problem joining the campaign with that character"

Have they tried accepting to join the campaign and creating a character in the campaign?
(clicking the CREATE A CHARACTER button on the page that appears when they paste the invite link into their browser)

yeah i am going to try that next its just frustrating they put so much work into the other characters just to create new ones

It's weird though - they absolutely should be able to add their existing characters, as long as they're not already in a campaign.

We figured it out! for next time you help someone, the answer is the other players had not activated their accounts yet

Aha!
Glad that you were able to get it sorted.
Also, many thanks for taking the time to come back and post what the solution was - it's appreciated!
