Resetting the invite link on the campaign page, I am the campaign owner.
What exactly does this do? I need to kick a player from my campaign and don't want him to have access to my shared books. Would resetting the link nullify the old link I shared to my group chat so he cant access it? Would I need to re send the new reset link to the current players to allow them to see their characters? Or can they still access their characters without needing to send them a new link? I can't find any answer for this, and I am afraid I might mess something up if I just reset the link without knowing for sure what it will do.
Yes, resetting the link does indeed invalidate any previous invite links.
When you reset the link, it does not remove any characters from the campaign, so existing members can still see your shared content without any need for additional action.
In the situation you described - wanting to make sure that someone cannot use a previous invite link to join your campaign - that's exactly the scenario that the reset button was invented for. :)
