It Says i need a "subscription" to add homebrew things. I have no clue how to get one. plz help. add Close to exact steps on how to do this if you can, please.
First, I just want to make sure you know that you dont need a subscription to create homebrew or to share it with your campaigns, only to quickly grab and use what other people have posted to this site.
A subscription simply allows you to use any homebrew publicly shared by other users. You don’t need it to create your own homebrew or to use any shared privately within your campaigns.
I have a question on how you use other people's homebrew content. I've been trying for days to find a way to use and see "Oath of Freedom" as a selectable subclass and I've been told various different ways to use it on my paladin. I really need help

It would be helpful if you linked that homebrew you're after here so others can test it and see how to get it working properly. There are 23 different Oath of Freedom homebrews on DnDBeyond's published homebrew lookup.
In the Homebrew section of the website go to subclasses then type Oath of Freedom. Make sure you also select Paladin in the class bar
Here you go. Sorry It wasn't a link, it just sent me to an error screen when I tested it
That's, uh... Less than helpful. Maybe tell the name of the creator if you're having trouble with a link? Like I said, there's 23 different Oath of Freedom homebrews, all different. We have to know which one you're talking about to help on a more personal level.
Okay, well, it worked just fine for me to add to a test character.
-You have to add it to your collection (requires a paid DnDBeyond subscription, not a free account) -You have to have Homebrew enabled in the Character Builder under Character Preferences > Sources -This subclass is for the 2024 Paladin class, it will not work on the 2014 Paladin -Homebrew is the last section of subclasses in the dropdown menu
That's about all I've got at this time. That it works, and that you have to ensure all of the above matches on your side.

Now to answer your question: go to here https://www.dndbeyond.com/subscribe insert money.
I also am confused about the homebrew subscription thing. I'm just asking but is there a way around paying money?

I'm betting that subclass was created for the 2014 Paladin class, and that you've selected the 2024 Paladin class.
The icon for your character's class has to match the one shown in the homebrew.

I already tested both on a delete character. It didn't show up for either.

Did you add that subclass to your collection?
Do you have Homebrew enabled for that character?

I have every Homebrew content option enabled for the character creation menu. So I have no idea what's going on

The closest thing to a creator name. Thanks for working with me on this

Okay cool got it. Sadly that's all for me. I'm not paying money just to get a subclass for one campaign lol
Ahh, you're on a free account. That'll definitely do it.
If it helps, you could copy it from scratch as homebrew. What the paid allows is for you to easily click to copy it to your collection.
