I recently added a Treant to my homebrew collection, and I cannot chose it as an option for a race. I have tried on several browsers and cleared cookies and cache. I have "allow homebrew content" on.
My guess is that the creator of this homebrew race has marked it as "Has Subraces", and then did not add or publish the subraces, which would make it un-useable. I would recommend getting in touch with the homebrew creator to see if that is the case so that they can fix it.

D&D Beyond FoundersYes, I can confirm that the race is set to "has subraces" so isn't functional as homebrew.
For now, I have rejected this race, so nobody else has the same issue.
The author can resubmit, along with subraces when they have resolved the issue.
