Good Afternoon - I am making a homebrew item as the title says and trying to add the spell "Armor of Agathys" to the item. The spell does not show up on the list of spells I can add to it. Is there something I am doing wrong in creating this item? It seems odd that there would be one spell I am forbidden from adding...
To clarify, I dont get an error message, it just is not present on the list of spells at all. Any assistance is appreciated!
If content is shared with you via a campaign, then that means that you may use it on your character in that campaign and can view the content.
To create homebrew using purchased content, you need to own the content yourself.
In this case, assuming the homebrew item is for the character in that campaign, I recommend asking the owner of the content to create the homebrew item for you. It will automatically be shared within their campaign and you (or they) will be able to equip it to your character.

Armor of Agathys is from the Player's Handbook - have you unlocked that content on D&D Beyond?
The majority of spells are granted for free within the Basic Rules / SRD.

I am part of a campaign that my DM set everything up for us, and I think he has already unlocked everything. How can I tell?
Just spoke to my DM, and he purchased the legendary bundle, so everything is unlocked.
