Hi. So this is the first time I've ever created a subclass. I took some inspiration from a warlock subclass I saw on DMsguild. However, when I started to write out the expanded spell list; it started telling me that I was using private homebrew or licensed spells. Now, I haven't added a single homebrew spell; private or otherwise. Not only that, but I did some research and all the spells I added are from the player's handbook. Is this a glitch, or am I doing something wrong?
The Belovedhere is the class in question if you need it.
The Player's Handbook is a licensed product. Only the spells available in the Basic Rules, SRD and Elemental Evil Player's Companion are eligible to be added to published homebrew.
However, you are able to use it privately and shared with your campaigns without it being published.
It is a little annoying when you want a subclass to have access to a certain spell as part of its theme, but that spell is licenced. But thats the way it is.

...I see. >.>
Pardon me, as I am in fact, an idiot.
You are certainly not-- It's a very common mistake! Happy homebrewing!
