Hi I am a DM that favours flavour over set rules, and whilst I love D&D Beyond it's awfully retrisctive when it comes to overwriting the restrictions placed on characters as per RAW.
For example - one of my player's is a half-drow and I've allowed him to take the Drow High Magic feat, however there is no way of adding this to his character sheet in DnD beyond. Similarly, I've allowed my archfey warlock to take the moonbeam spell, as their patron is the Maiden of the Moon, but again there is no way of adding this to their spell list.
you can do all of these things and for most of them there are a number of different ways you can do it.
Your player with the half-drow, you (or your player) should do the following:
On their character sheet - click the character name and choose "PREFERENCES" from the menu.
In the side bar that appears, you will see a section labelled "USE PREREQUISITES" and a toggle for Feats - click the toggle to turn it off.
That character can now gain feats that they do not have the prerequisites for (including racial feats).
The archfey warlock gaining the moonbeam spell - the easiest way to manage this is they (or you) can create a homebrew copy of the moonbeam spell and set warlock in the "available for class(es)" field (you should remove the existing class(es) in that field so that they don't see a duplicate). Remember you don't need to publish this spell, as it's only needed in your campaign.
You can turn off feat prerequisites in character preferences. First page of builder.
Moonbeam is a little more complicated. You can homebrew a copy of the spell and add it the archfey warlock spell list. Or homebrew a copy of the archfey and add Moonbeam as an additional spell.

Is there a fix or workaround for this?
Never mind I've found a way using homebrew creation

Thank you, that’s very helpful!
