I have a 2/3 lvl warlock/rogue.... under Actions the shortsword uses my str (+0) instead of my dex (+3) to calculate HIT DC. Is there a way to get the character sheet to use my dex instead of STR? I may just be missing a check box or something ... under custom there are ways, but i assume there is a way to tell it which stat to use.
I have equipped a shortsword and rapier but both don't seem to use dex... (or i am missing something which is quite possible)
and a second question, this character has Mage Armor At Will (Eldritch Invocation) ... is there a way to get that +3 to add to the AC box on the main character sheet page? The AC currently reflects dex only (13)
They are. They just aren’t using the proficiency bonus. You don’t have proficiency in Shortswords or Rapiers, it seems, so you only get a +3 to attack and damage from your dexterity.
Do you have the Dual Wielder feat? If not I don't think you can dual wield a rapier and short sword at the same time.
Correct. The Rapier isn't a light weapon and the bonus action attack with a second weapon cannot be used without the Dual Wielder feat. The character linked doesn't appear to have that feat so only one weapon can be used at a time.

Thanks for any info you have
That's very odd - the shortsword is a finesse weapon, so D&D Beyond will automatically use the best ability bonus out of STR and DEX.
Please provide a link to your character sheet, so we can take a look.

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
They are both martial weapons, you only have proficiency in simple weapons.
Rogue Proficiencies (from d&d beyond website)
Armor: Light armor
Weapons: Simple weapons, hand crossbows, longswords, rapiers, shortswords
Tools: Thieves’ tools
Saving Throws: Dexterity, Intelligence
So I see "shortsword" and "rapier"... am I missing something?

Hiya,
ok, I had a look and the problem is indeed that your character isn't proficient with the weapons selected.
Both Shortsword and Rapier are Martial weapons, rather than simple weapons, whilst the character has proficiency with simple weapons.
As per the multiclass rules for gaining proficiencies from additional classes, adding the Rogue class only grants proficiency in:
Rogues only gain proficiency in Rapier & Shortsword if Rogue is their starting class.
