There seems to be no way to create new kinds of magic ammunition. When you create a magic item as a weapon, there is no drop-down choice for arrows, bolts, sling-bullets, or even just a catch-all of "ammunition." Even if I directly copy the "Arrows +1" and make absolutely no changes, the system won't let me save it because I must choose a base weapon type, but the copied version has nothing in that drop-down box.
Yeah, this is a known issue. I think it’s because the base damage arrows/bolts do is dependent on the weapon (e.g. longbow vs. short bow), not the arrow itself. I can’t remember if staff said it would be addressed eventually or not.
My memory is that folks have created arrows as wondrous items or potions to keep track of their use. I don’t remember if they found a way for their effect to be autocalculated properly on the sheets.
Thanks mate. I used the potions option for now. I hope they fix it. Doesn't seem like it should be too hard if they already have +1 Arrows and such that can be counted in quantity.
I use the custom attack action to get around this issue. So you roll your bow attack and then roll the custom attack action if its a hit to do the bonus damage. Ex, 1D4 radiant damage added on.

I used the wondrous item with charges for my Arrow, Armor Piercing. It only add to the To Hit, so damage can be roll from the bow's Action line.
Thank you for posting these alternatives!
